Hey children,
The sharks skin is not like other fish. They do not have scales. Instead, they have dermal denticles. They look like tiny shark teeth . Sharks get more of these in their skin as they get older. That makes their skin very rough. Their skin is so rough that in some cultures they use dried shark skin for sand paper. The body of the shark is shape is made for speed!
